Class Description

Sewing Basics is a three day evening course designed for those who are curious about sewing and want a supportive, hands on introduction. This course focuses on building confidence at the sewing machine while learning practical, everyday skills you can actually use. Each class builds on the last, combining guided instruction with plenty of time to practice at your own pace in a relaxed environment. Over the three classes, you’ll learn how to: -Use a sewing machine with confidence -Read and understand a simple sewing pattern -Hem pants using both machine and hand-sewing techniques -Sew basic hand stitches -Understand fabric types and how to choose the right fabric -Upcycle and reuse existing fabrics and garments All supplies are provided as part of the course. You’re welcome to bring a fabric or garment you’d like to upcycle or repair if you have something particular in mind. This is a bring your own sewing machine class. Perfect for complete beginners or anyone looking for a refresher, this course will leave you with practical skills, finished work, and the confidence to keep sewing on your own. The class starts Wednesday February 18th and runs until Wednesday March 4th at Studio 2880. Bring your own machine and a good attitude and we'll have a blast! If you don't have a machine we have spares please just reach out before signing up to see if any of the spares are available.

To cancel or reschedule please leave 24 hours of notice so we can fill the spot with someone on the waitlist. If you cancel after the 24hr period you will be charged 20$.
